Hoodline crunched the numbers to find the most excellent destinations for affordable Chinese cuisine around Fort Worth, using both Yelp data and our own secret sauce to produce a ranked list of the best places to venture when cravings strike on a budget.

1. Taste of Asia

Topping the list is Taste of Asia. Located at 7420 N. Beach St., Suite 250, in Summerfields, the Chinese, Japanese and Thai restaurant is the highest-rated source for low-cost Chinese fare in Fort Worth, boasting four stars out of 300 reviews on Yelp.

Yelper Cesar H., who reviewed Taste of Asia on June 25, wrote, “Talk about fresh, lean and inexpensive food. You cannot go wrong with anything you order at this restaurant. … Sushi, Chinese, noodles, soup, etc. — it is always fresh, good-looking plates and great taste. Very friendly and fast service.”

2. Tu Hai Restaurant

Next up is Tu Hai Restaurant, situated at 3909 E. Belknap St. With 4.5 stars out of 68 reviews on Yelp, the Vietnamese and Chinese eatery has proven to be a local favorite for those looking for an economical option. 

Yelper Jenn C., who reviewed Tu Hai Restaurant on Feb. 15, wrote, “Got the egg rolls, shrimp spring rolls, chicken soup with bean thread noodles and tofu curry rice. … Be aware, these portions are huge. … Even better, it is so inexpensive, you will get the best bang for your buck.”

And Yelper Celeste M. said, “Customer service is excellent. Prices are cheap, and it’s cash-only! So, don’t forget to get cash before you go.”

3. Le’s Wok

Le’s Wok, settled at 812 W. Rosedale St., is another prime choice, with Yelpers giving the inexpensive Chinese and Vietnamese dining establishment four stars out of 163 reviews. 

Yelper Jessica S., who reviewed Le’s Wok on March 19, wrote, “Our go-to Chinese takeout! We loved the sesame chicken and fried crab wontons. They are quick and have a large menu, so everyone can find something they like!”

Autumn A. added, “Best Chinese takeout I’ve ever had. The quality of the meat is miles above anywhere else I’ve ever ordered from. … The portions are huge! … We’ve had the kung pao chicken, Mongolian beef, garlic beef, [teriyaki] chicken, crab rangoons, egg rolls and egg drop soup, and everything has been delicious every time!”

4. I-Phở

Finally, there’s I-Phở, a reasonably priced Vietnamese and Chinese outlet that serves noodles, soups, dumplings and more in Southside, with four stars out of 62 Yelp reviews. Head over to 3043 S. Freeway to give it a go for yourself. 

“Huge portions! Great food, and friendly staff,” wrote Yelper Ricky W., who reviewed I-Phở on Jan. 11. “Had the orange chicken and egg rolls that were delightful! Price is more than fair.”

Yelper Valerie Y. wrote, “The price is right, location is nice and food is fantastic! The owner is so nice and friendly, service is fast!”
