PM SVANIDHI Scheme: The government has taken a big initiative to help roadside street food vendors. The government has decided to provide them market by linking them with online platforms. Under PM SVANIDHI Scheme, Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs has tied up with Indian restaurant aggregator and food delivery start-up Zomato to provide roadside vendors an online market.
Food aggregator Zomato has agreed to work with the government to provide better market for street food vendors. It is to be known that the government has already signed an MoU in this regard with Swiggy.

The move will benefit 300 food vendors of six cities.
To start with, 300 food vendors in six cities will be given training by Zomato. Bhopal, Nagpur, Patna, Vadodara, Nagpur and Ludhiana have been identified as the city where this initiative will be
