PM Street Vendor’s AtmaNirbhar Nidhi: Centre, Zomato pact on home delivery of street food

Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA) has joined hands with Zomato for home delivery of street food in six cities. As a part of Prime Minister Street Vendor’s AtmaNibhar Nidhi (PM SVANidhi) Scheme, the MoHUA entered into an agreement (MoU) with Zomato, to bring street food vendors on its food-tech platform. As per the MoHUA, this will give street food vendors online access to thousands of consumers and help these vendors grow their businesses.

In a statement, MoHUA said that initially MoHUA and Zomato will run a pilot program by on-boarding 300 vendors across six cities namely – Bhopal, Ludhiana, Nagpur, Patna, Raipur, Vadodara.

PM SVANidhi scheme: Zomato sign MoU to take street food vendors’ businesses online

Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Zomato for empowering street food vendors with new digital technology and to provide greater income-earning opportunities on the food delivery platform.

As part of Prime Minister Street Vendor’s AtmaNibhar Nidhi (PM SVANidhi) Scheme, MoHUA and Zomato will work together to onboard street food vendors on Zomato’s food-tech platform, a ministry statement explained.

This agreement will give street vendors access to thousands of customers and would thus help them in growing their business. MoHUA has also introduced ‘PMSVANidhi se Samriddhi’

mobile app for socio-economic profiling of the scheme’s beneficiaries and their families. This app will link beneficiaries to various other central government schemes.

New Delhi: Now people in some cities across the country will be able to get street food at their door-step, thanks to the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA) for taking such initiative along with food delivery start-up Zomato. As per updates, the Ministry has joined hands with Zomato for home delivery of street food in six cities.
